My Introduction Letter

As a new school year gets underway, I would like to formally introduce myself.  My name is Doris “Dee” Rojas and I am so excited to be joining the Bruce Drysdale family.

For the last nine years, I have worked for Henderson County Public Schools; however, this will be my first year as a 1st-grade bilingual teacher. Prior to coming to work with the Bear Kitten family, I was customizing and providing tutoring services for students from diverse backgrounds in a variety of academic curricula as a Remediation and Migrant Education Tutor.  Each experience has helped me grow as an educator and has increased my understanding of the importance of a quality education in the early years of a child. I have served my country as a United States Marine and worked with several companies in the private and public sectors. I am looking forward to working with a wonderful group of young people.

I believe that the more parents and I communicate, the more we can maximize a student’s potential.
